Every year make our Drop Zone even better for you!
Our changes will benefit both students and experienced skydivers. We have purchased state of the art student equipment! You will be jumping the highest quality gear available today. All of our rigs are equipped with a docile square main parachute as well as a modern square backup parachute. These rigs are also equipped with a mini computer system to intervene in case of emergency. We are the only skydiving school in the region that has updated to the latest in hi-tech equipment for our student skydivers. You may rest assured that you will use only the best technology in parachute safety when you jump at AerOhio Skydiving Center.
We operate a Cessna 182. It will carry 4 jumpers to altitude in less than 25 minutes.
AerOhio is Ohio’s most popular and professional skydiving center, operating to serve the needs of skydivers from the most experienced jumper to the first time jumper. Since student safety is the highest priority, all of our training programs exceed every requirement necessary to be a Group Member of the United States Parachute Association (USPA). USPA is recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration and around the world as the organization which sets the standards for skydiving safety.
There are three different methods by which you can do your FIRST JUMP!
You may choose Accelerated Freefall (AFF), Tandem, or Static Line (S/L). We schedule first jump courses nearly any day of the week to meet your needs. We are generally closed on Tuesdays. Both the Accelerated Freefall and the Static Line jumps require a half day class and you will jump that afternoon, weather permitting. You will be spending the entire day with us. In case of inclement weather, you may return any time we are open to make your jump. You need to be at the Drop Zone by 8:00am the day of your class. Classes are taught rain or shine!
If you choose a Tandem skydive, you will be spending half a day with us, arriving at the Drop Zone at your scheduled appointment time for a weekday or by walking in on a weekend. We are open from 9:00 am to Sunset everyday we are jumping. You must arrive at least 3 hours before sunset in order to get your training and jump done before sunset. All jumpers will need to have a valid photo ID at check-in and you must be 18 years old.

AerOhio is the only skydiving center in our region with the resources to offer The Skydive University Basic Body Flight Program (BBF). We have full-time Skydive University Coaches on staff, ready to work with the newly graduated AFF student or with the most experienced skydivers who want to improve basic skills. BBF consists of 20 jumps that are one-on-one with your personal coach. BBF provides a solid foundation of basic skills taught with the latest skydiving technology and information. This program allows one to learn how to skydive "correctly" the first time. It provides immediate feedback and skill analysis, making each BBF jump more valuable than countless solo or non-training dives. This state-of-the-art training will give you 300-400 jumps of increased skills in four to five days and for less money than learning on your own. Click here for rate information.
First Jump Video
We are proud to have the most experienced freefall videographers in the region offering their professional services at our drop zone. They provide a thrilling video record of your first Tandem or AFF jump. Still photos are available for all three first jump methods. John and Linda Winkler’s Down to Earth Photography produces an outstanding product using their style and professionalism. This ensures that nothing on your skydive is missed. You simply can not get a higher quality skydiving video anywhere, in fact, we guarantee it! Video is also encouraged for all training skydives as it is your most valuable learning tool. Free Training Videos:
We have phased in our FREE training video program. We have Sony PC-5 digital video camera systems and will video all student jumps from Level 4 through Level 25 for FREE. This is at least $560.00 in FREE video that is included at the regular price of the program. The actual value of having video to review is priceless as it is proven to save repeat jumps and significantly enhance learning when compared to a training dive without video.
